Hi, I'm Brent Anderson. I mostly freelance my skills to other gamedevs, for coin. I still
work on my own projects when I have the time and energy.
Origins
I played A LOT of games(ttrpg, board, card, and video) as a child, my parents threw
an Atari 2600 at me(not physically) around the age of 3. After the Nintendo rolled
around I pretty much knew what direction I was headed, and it wasn't a fireman!
Learnin' and Burnin'
In my teen years I dabbled in code, some QBasic and whatever the hell was on
Apple2e's at the time. My first created game was a simple number guessing affair,
you have so many turns to get it right before poor Dumbman is turned skeleton. I
also made a board game, and for the life of me can't remember what it was called.
Did a tabletop rpg rule set too, but it was much to cumbersome to be effective, they
can't all be winners.
The Art Institute of Pittsburgh is where I got me some learnin' in 3D animation, at the
time game centric courses were unheard of. Graduated and got the hell out!
Did some mod work for a few years, mostly for Dungeon Siege and Neverwinter
Nights related projects, 3d modeling and animation. Took some stabs at getting
jobs in the gaming industry, but soon realized I'd need to up root and leave my spawn
point to accomplish this. Hell no! Not a lot going on in Ohio game related back then,
ha!
Do It Yourself, Stupid!(still learnin' and burnin')
I woke up one day and thought "why not make games yourself?". Did some
research, found Game Maker(ver.6 at the time), and went to town. I've learned a lot,
nay, a TON over these last 7 years. A bunch of prototypes and two whole games
later...

Backyard Ninja Design.
My Current Mission
To entertain you and myself to the best of my ability, it's that simple. Hearing from
gamers that they had a good time with one of my creations is one of the greatest
freaking things ever!
A Note About Cats
Cats, cats, cats, cats, cats, cats, cats, CATS CATS CAAATSSS! That seems to be
a reoccurring theme among game devs, I'm no different. Got 6 or 7 of them around
here somewhere, doing cat stuff. Stalking, eating, sleeping. Furry little buddies, or
terrors depending.
